Curriculum Vitae

Dimitris N. Chryssochoou is Professor of Theory and Institutions of European Integration in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Visiting Research Professor at the Virginia Tech Center for European Union Transatlantic and Trans-European Space Studies – A Jean Monnet Center of Excellence, Honorary University Fellow at the College of Social Sciences and International Studies of the University of Exeter, and Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of International Studies, Political Science and History of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, India, and at the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence Visualising, Analysing and Learning about EU Studies of the University of the Peloponnese. He has been Professor of Theory and Institutions of European Integration at Panteion University, Associate Professor of International Organization at the University of Crete, Reader in European Integration at the University of Exeter, Visiting Professor at the Department of Social and Political Studies of the University of Catania, Visiting Fellow at the Centre of International Studies and Associate Scholar at Pembroke College of the University of Cambridge, Research Associate at the Centre for International Studies of the University of Oxford, Visiting Fellow at the LSE European Institute, Visiting Scholar at the Institute on Western Europe and at the Italian Academy for Advanced Studies in America of Columbia University, Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy of the University of Jyväskylä, at the ARENA Centre for European Studies of the University of Oslo, at the Institute for European Studies of the University of Malta, at the Laboratory of Social and Political Institutions of the University of the Aegean, at the Centre for European Policy and Regional Development of the University of Crete and at the Norwegian Institute at Athens, Research Fellow at the Department of History, Politics and International Studies of Neapolis University Pafos and at the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence Governance of the University of the Peloponnese, Visiting Researcher at the Global Studies Institute of the University of Geneva, at the Centre for Political Research and Documentation of the University of Crete and at the Centre for European Constitutional Law in Athens, and Senior Research Fellow at the Hellenic Centre for European Studies. His book Politeiologia of unions (in Greek, I. Sideris, 2020) has been awarded an Honorary Distinction for Original Planning and Exemplary Writing by the Hellenic Political Science Association.
